The Vela Program

The gap between
learning and
shipping.

A cohort program for professionals who would rather pay for the work than for a credential. Built around decisions that ship, not lectures that don't.

Practical guidance. Strategic clarity. Meaningful connections.
No fluff. No shortcuts. No BS.

Four pillars.

01

Price wall below $2,799

Tuition sits under the HBS CORe paywall. The whole program costs less than one rebrand-tier online certificate.

02

Completion that counts shipped decisions

You graduate when you've shipped a decision in front of a real cohort — not when you've watched the modules.

03

Outcome-driven accountability

Weekly office hours with operators who've actually done the thing. Pressure-tested plans, not feedback theater.

04

Cohort support

A small, curated group that runs the program together. Accountability is built into the structure, not bolted on.

Four things. Nothing else.

How it runs.

Duration
8 weeks
Format
Cohort-based — live weekly sessions + async work
Cohort size
~12 professionals per cohort
Tuition
Under $2,799 (final pricing announced to waitlist first)

Five modules.
One shipped decision.

Name the decision

The thing you can't articulate is the thing you can't ship.

Outcome —You leave week one with a one-paragraph problem statement you can hand to a peer and a stranger.

90 min/day · 5 days

Pressure-test the plan

Plans that only survive in your head don't survive contact with operators.

Outcome —You run the plan through two live operator office hours with real objections on the table.

Two 2-hour sessions · async prep

Ship the artifact

Decisions are shipped, not scheduled.

Outcome —You ship one concrete artifact tied to the decision — landing page, memo, hire, kill — to a real audience.

4–6 hours/week · 2 weeks

Defend the result

Cohort review separates intent from outcome.

Outcome —You present the shipped artifact to the cohort and walk away with structured pushback from twelve operators.

90 min · live

Graduate on the result

Completion is measured by what shipped, not what was watched.

Outcome —You graduate with the decision documented, shipped, and reviewed — not with a credential.

Self-paced · 1 week

Weekly shipping.
Peer review.
No dark mode.

01

Weekly shipping commitment

Every Wednesday at 5pm your local time, you ship one concrete artifact attached to the decision you walked in with — a memo, a landing page, a hire, a kill. The cohort gets a single link. No slides. No "thinking out loud."

02

Two-hour peer review

Every Thursday you sit in a live two-hour review with the cohort and two operators. You read three artifacts in advance, give structured pushback in writing, and walk away with the same on your own artifact.

03

Miss a ship, restart the program

A missed Wednesday ship moves you to the next cohort. This is not punitive — it is the only mechanism that keeps the cohort honest. Quitting is fine. Slipping is not.

04

Quiet cohort, no dark mode

Cohort chat is on. Cameras on. Names visible. You will be on record with twelve operators for the rest of your career — that is the point.

The cohort is small.
The bar is high.
